THE STUDENTS IN ROOM 124 HAVE HAD AN AWESOME WEEK.  THEY SURE ARE EXCITED TO SHARE THEIR FAVORITES WITH YOU!

1. We had a spelling test in music class.
2. We learned about Willie "snowflake" Bently.
3. We made snowflakes out of borax, blue food coloring, and boiling water.  Crystals formed into snowflakes around the pipecleaners hanging on a string from a pencil.
4. Our new unit is to invent things.
5. We learned about measurement.
6. We made salt water and washing soda solutions !
7. We made cool stuff in our science experiments this week!
8.We did science experiments this week.  I liked making snowflakes the best.
9. We tried salt and washing soda and learned about making crystals.
10. It was fun making stuff in our science experiments!
11. We are going to be doing FUEL UP TO PLAY 60 in PE!
12. We did an experiment of making snowflakes in blue borax water.
13. I learned about making a salt solution and it evaporated a little and made salt crystals on the side of the pan. 
14. I learned how to make a borax solution,. We let it sit overnight and it turned into crystals. 
15. In my WIN group we are reading a book called SNOW TREASURE.  I really like it because it's about 10 kids who try to save the gold bouillon of Norway in 1940.
16. I watched a video about sled dog races in Alaska.
17.  I built a fort made of snow outside at recess.

Our class is doing a great job bringing in COINS FOR COOPER.  Thank you very much.   

Friday December 13, 2013.....A FREEZING Week.

1.We had WIN groups for reading and language arts.
2. We made gingerbread men!!!!:)
3.We have been practicing for the Christmas concert.
4.We got to go outside!!!
5. We played volleyball at gym.
6.Outside we built a snow fort !!!!!!!!!!!!!:) :) :)
7.We made trees.
8.I went sliding.
9. This student was absent
10.I won the baseball game.
11.We had cheese pizza!!!!!!!(: (: ;)
12.WE SAW JONAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)
13.We talked to Mrs.Smith;)!!!!!!!!!!
14. We made rail train ornaments with glitter!!!!!:)
15.We HAD to go out for a fire drill at 12- to 7°F!!!
16.This student was quite busy doing other work.

Hello everyone,

     Well, it has been a really busy week here in Mrs. Smith's 3rd grade classroom.  On Monday night, something wonderful happened.....baby Jonah Samuel Smith was born at 6:15 PM.  He weighed 8 pounds and 5 ounces, and was 20 inches long. We saw a picture of Jonah with his big brother Noah and big sister Isabel.  They sure were happy.  Jonah is a lucky baby.  We even saw a picture of him wearing a little Minnesota Vikings suit.  That's cool!  Today we were able to talk to Mrs. Smith on the phone.  She sounds great.  We are all trying to do our best here at school so she'll be very proud of how much we are learning.  We were so busy, that we ran out of time to do individual blogs and made this one together.  Happy Friday to you!

1. We had spelling.
2. We made mobiles when we were at art!!!!!!!!!!!
3. We had phy.ed.
4. We wrote and colored tooth people!!!
5. Our iPads got updated.
6. This week in art we finished our mobiles.
7. We did WIN group.
8. We had milk break.
9. We played soccer in gym.
10.We did are count byes.
11.We got to bring home our bats!
12.We played sport tag.
13. We made a color poem.
14. We picked different words for WIN groups. Mine is interminable.
15. We played soccer in phy. ed.

17. We wrote about teeth.

November 8th

1. We had physical education.
2. We made cool stuff in art!!
4. It snowed!
5. We made flying pumpkins.
6. I made cool snow forts!!
7. We had free time.
8. We played volleyball.
9. I played Legos at free time.
10. We made names for our tables.
11. We heard in a story that catalog cats were real.
12. In gym we played foot tag.
13.We had our wkce test.
14. We got our iPads upgraded and I am the student of the week! :)
15. We went outside when it snowed.
16. We did a math test.
17. Outside I played with my friends.

October 25th

1. We read a book during WIN group time.
2. We made a leaf pile at recess.
3. We played Trouble during free time.
4. We watched Reading Rainbow on bats.
5. We learned about a bats!
6. We had free time!!!!
7. We had morning meeting.
8. (left early)
9. We bowled in gym.
10. We had Physical Education.
11. We did hard math!
12. We had a spelling test
13. We made monsters.
14. We went to Mrs. Anderson's room and played Splash Math on our ipads.
15. We had so much fun at music.
16. We did math.
17. We played the 10 game in guidance.
