This week: January 14th-18th

Ten things we did this week!

1. We painted sun faces in art.

2. We did our "High Five For Fairness" march.

3. We took a lot of quarter two tests!

4. We made a card for our T.A., Faith. Today was her last day.

5. We read Charlotte's Web.

6. We watched Charlotte's Web.

7. We learned about batting in Phy. Ed.

8. We wrote letters to our reading buddies.

9. We made glitter webs.

10. We had early release today.

10 Things We Did This Week - January 7th to January 11th

We had a good week! Here are 10 things we did:

1. We got brand new bookshelves donated. Visit www.donorschoose.org/mrssmith121 to see our next project. We made thank you cards.

2. We made a "High 5 for Fairness" poster.

3. We talked about our Habitat Project. It is due on Monday!

4. We celebrated some summer 1/2 birthdays this week.

5. We made fairness hands for the Fairness March next week.

6. We changed our music time, so that we could work on a 2nd grade play.

7. In phy. ed. we played a fun game with balloons.

8. We learned how to spell character and friendship.

9. We went to http://www.learning.com/ in the computer lab.

10. We watched a movie about friendship called, Free Willy.

10 Things We Did This Week - January 2nd-4th

Although it was a short week, we still came up with 10 things we did this week.

1. We learned about mammals through a scavenger hunt.

2. We played a habitat game.

3. We learned about animal classification.

4. We have a habitat homework project due on January 14th.

5. We made long, short, and silent snowmen.

6. We made Zen Tie trees.

7. We created 2013 decoration.

8. We turned in our reading calendars. Next month we want to reach our goal.
9. We played a volleyball game in phy. ed.

10. We earned 12 minutes of free time.

10 things this week - December 17th-21st

Pajama Day

The last school week of 2012!

1. We had a pajama day.

2. We made snowflakes for Sandy Hook Elementary.

3. We earned 10 minutes of Friday free time.


4. We had an all school Christmas sing-a-long.

5.  We had our Christmas Program.

6. We watched Balto and had snacks for our behavior reward party.

7. We typed a paragraph about our best friend.

8. Mrs. Smith gave us a book called, The Jacket I Wear in the Snow.

9. We made symmetrical mittens in art.
10. We wrote to our Cumberland pen pals.

It was a great week. Have a wonderful break!

10 things this week: December 11th-14th, 2012

We did a lot this week:

1. We learned about time this week.

2. We created big sparkly snowflakes.

3. We learned how to build bridges.

4. We learned about past tense verbs.

5. It snowed and we had a snow day.

6. We went to phy. ed.

7. We practiced for the Christmas concert in music.

8. We took a picture on the train outside.

9. Our class went shopping in the Penguin Patch Holiday Shoppe.

10. We made wrapping/cards for our ornaments and decorations.

Our class had a ball this week!

Setting Up Our Blog

Today we started our blog. This is what we did:

We did the background. We're going to change the color in a few months. We changed the word colors. We changed the font to Impact. We had to vote on each step. We chose pink as our color. We had to change the colors a lot. We like it because it is pink, but we also hate it because it is pink.
