13 Things We Did This Week - March 11th to March 15th

We had an exciting week!

1. We made leprechaun pictures.

2. We are learning about continents. This week we focused on North America.

3. We had our last student of the week, Evelynn.

4. Yesterday we had our pajama and hot chocolate day for February.

5. We read monster books about nouns, verbs, adjectives, addition, and subtraction.

6. Some students are learning to be 2nd grade students through lines.

7. We read with our reading buddies on Tuesday.

8. We met Zoe's baby brother, Mason.

9. We went to the art museum (aka the Art Space) on Monday.

10. We learned about energy.

11. Yesterday we listened to Mr. Wanek about Kodiak Island.

12. We practiced our play, which will be on April 5th at 1:00 pm.

13. Mrs. Blatterman helped us with our math tests.

13 Things We Did This Week - March 4th to March 8th

We had a cool week!

1. We took a language arts, compass, and spelling test on Friday.

2. We made 3-D rainbows.

3. We went to Spelling City on iPads. (We borrowed some from all over the school)

4. We finished our All About Me projects.

5. Mrs. S. was our guest teacher on Thursday.

6. We played Sink The Ship in phy. ed class.

7. Some of us completed our I'm Done chart.

8. We finished our garbage can pictures in art class.

9. We read Creepy Carrots in library class.

10. Mrs. Blatterman helped in our class on Friday.

11. We had FREE hot breakfast pizza on Thursday.

12. Some of us made paint palettes in art class.

13. Dr. Haack read to us.

13 Things This Week - February 15th to March 1st

We  had an awesome week!

1. We celebrated Dr. Seuss and Read Across America Day!

2. We made Dr. Seuss door hangers. (Shh...I'm READING!)

3. We made 3-D four leaf clovers and flowers (Luck, Hope, Love, and Faith)

4. We created rhyming hats.

5. We started our All About Me project.

6. We played Addition Go Fish during reading groups.

7. We played Subtraction Hopscotch during reading groups.

8. We made stories about the Civil War and the Berenstein Bears.

9. Some of us ate green eggs and "graham."

10. We learned a soccer game, which Ethan helped us earn from Homeworkland.

11. Mrs. Smith's husband, Sam, read Green Eggs and Ham to us. He also brought us donuts on Thursday.

12. We practiced our 2nd grade play on the stage.

13. We tried to use IXL, but the Internet was broke, so we drew our family on the computer program, Paint.

Things this Week - February 19th-22nd

We had an amazing week!

1. We created magnets.

2. We had Jump Rope for the Heart.

3. We finished our Spelling Bee. Our top five winners were Anna, Taylor, Ethan, Allison, and Justin.

4. We had no school on Monday.

5. We had a rough week. We earned no free time.

6. Mrs. Smith ordered some fun stuff from bonus points.

7. We learned about the presidents.

8. We received two new Magic Tree House books.

9. We made shadow silhouettes of our heads.

10. We learned about the Civil War.

11. Some of us received our February book orders.

12. We practiced addition with dice.

15 Things This Week - February 11th-15th

We had a fun week! Here are fifteen things we did:

1. We played bean bag addition.

2. We had our 100th day!

3. We earned 12 minutes of free time.

4. We made flowers for our teachers.

5. Dalton joined our classroom.

6. Some of us purchased Smencils.

7. We gave our bead hearts away as gifts.

8. We are practicing our second grade play in Music class.

9. We had in centers in phy. ed.

10. We found sugar ants on some of our 100th day projects.

11. We learned about symmetry.

12. We are learning about multiplication.

13. We finished our shields in art.

14. We had a Valentine's Day party.

15. We made a timeline about Old Abe.

This week - February 4th - 8th

We had a great week! Here are 10 things we did this week:

1. We had our popcorn, pajama, movie, and hot chocolate party on Friday.

2. From Homeworkland we earned a reward to see a special skill from Mrs. Smith.

3. We made hearts of people and pets we love.

4. Some of us brought our 100 day project in.

5. We found out that we will have a new student, Dalton.

6. We made our "Rosa Parks" signs.

7. We created Freedom Quilts.

8. We learned about time lines.

9. We learned a lot about freedom.

10. We presented our habitats.

10 Things This Week - 1/28 to 2/1

We had a cool week!

1. We made a Pete The Cat book.

2. We voted on whether the groundhog would see his shadow.

3. We earned our January reward.

4. We made heart bursts with Mrs. Campbell.

5. We played dribble knockout in gym.

6. We made a bar graph using dice.

7. We started bringing in our reading calendars and 100 day projects.

8. We did a fun circle graph project.

9. We earned a smiley face at recess and at line up time.
